Find the Right Farewell for Your Loved One
Every family is unique, and so is every service we help plan. Whether traditional or informal, religious or personal, this page helps you explore the options that reflect your loved one’s wishes, your family’s values, and the story you want to share.
Types of Funeral Services
Every family is unique, and so is every service we help plan. Whether traditional or informal, religious or personal, this page helps you explore the options that reflect your loved one’s wishes, your family’s values, and the story you want to share.
Traditional Services
A structured and reverent service that includes a public visitation, a formal ceremony with the body present, and burial or cremation to follow. Often held at our funeral home, church, or another meaningful venue, these services provide a familiar and comforting way for family and friends to gather.
Families who choose this option often value the comfort of tradition. Services may include clergy-led prayers, eulogies, music, floral tributes, and military honors. We help arrange every detail—casket selection, pallbearers, music, memorial programs—so you can focus on remembrance and support.

Memorial Services
Held after cremation or burial, memorial services offer flexibility in both timing and location. These gatherings can be spiritual or secular, formal or casual. The urn may be present, or families may center the event on shared stories, photo displays, and music.
This service is ideal for families who need more time to plan, who live out of town, or who want a non-traditional location. Whether you gather at the funeral home, a park, or your own backyard, we’ll help create a meaningful tribute to your loved one’s life.
Graveside Service
A ceremony held entirely at the cemetery. Many families prefer this simpler, more intimate option, where mourners gather directly at the gravesite to pay their respects.
Graveside services may include prayers, short readings, military honors, and a final farewell. Our team provides full setup and handles all cemetery coordination — from seating and sound to flowers and tenting — so you can focus on honoring your loved one’s final resting place.

Celebration of Life
These gatherings are centered on joy, storytelling, and personal expression. A celebration of life may be held weeks after a passing or timed to a birthday or anniversary. They often take place outside of traditional venues — in gardens, event spaces, homes, or anywhere with meaning.
Families may include photo boards, video tributes, favorite foods, music, and décor inspired by hobbies or heritage. We’ll help you design a gathering that reflects not just how your loved one passed — but how they lived.
Immediate Burial
For families seeking privacy, simplicity, or immediate resolution, this option includes transport, required paperwork, and a dignified burial without a formal public service.
Some families choose to hold a memorial or celebration later. Others find peace in a quiet farewell. Our team ensures the process is respectful and seamless, providing full support even when you choose the simplest path.

Planning a Funeral Service
Every family is different — and so is every service we plan. Whether your preference is simple or traditional, religious or secular, our funeral directors will help you create a tribute that reflects your loved one’s life, values, and legacy.
We’re here to guide you through every detail, from choosing the type of service to coordinating burial or cremation, personal touches, and logistics — so you can focus on remembrance and healing.

Traditional Funeral with Burial
Many families choose burial based on tradition, religious beliefs, or personal preference. Our team will help arrange all burial details with care and precision, whether the burial takes place immediately or following a service.
Our burial services include:
- Scheduling with the cemetery of your choice
- Guidance on selecting caskets, burial vaults, and grave liners
- Full graveside service coordination, including setup and officiants
- Military honors and flag presentations for veterans
- Headstone and monument design through our in-house production team (Del Rio)
We also offer interment at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Del Rio — a perpetual care cemetery with burial plots, mausoleum crypts, and cremation niches.

Funeral Services with Cremation
Families who choose cremation can still plan a meaningful funeral, with all the traditional elements — including viewings, ceremonies, and graveside gatherings.
This option allows for:
- A service with the body present, followed by cremation
- A memorial service with the urn at a later date
- Flexible timing and location — at the funeral home, church, or another meaningful setting
- Burial of the urn, niche placement, or in-home display
In Del Rio and Brackettville, cremation is performed at our on-site crematory, allowing us to care for your loved one directly. For New Braunfels families, cremation is arranged through a trusted partner under our team’s supervision — ensuring the same standard of care.

Personalization & Special Touches
No two lives are alike, and every farewell should reflect the individual being remembered. We help families create services that are personal, heartfelt, and true to your loved one’s story.
Ways to personalize a service include:
- Choosing music, readings, poems, or scripture
- Displaying photo collages, video tributes, or memory tables
- Including personal items such as uniforms, instruments, or mementos
- Reflecting religious, cultural, or military traditions
- Planning themes, décor, or venue choices based on hobbies, values, or legacy
Whether simple or elaborate, these touches bring comfort and connection to those who gather to remember.
Plan with Confidence
During a time of loss, the last thing you need is uncertainty. That’s why our experienced funeral directors are here to manage every detail — with professionalism, compassion, and a steady hand.
Our team can assist with:
- Immediate care and transportation of your loved one
- Filing permits, death certificates, and legal paperwork
- Obituary writing and newspaper placement
