William M. �"Bill"� Phaneuf October 15, 1963 February 24, 2010 William M. Phaneuf, �"Bill"� as most people called him was born in Plattsburgh, NY on Oct. 15, 1963, to the late Donald Phaneuf and his surviving mother, Eileen Phaneuf. He entered in to rest February 24, 2010. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Gloria Davis Phaneuf, oldest daughter, Billie Phaneuf, oldest son, Kenneth Phaneuf, and youngest daughter Kayleigh Phaneuf from Ticonderoga, NY. He leaves two sons, William Maurice Phaneuf, Jr. and Ross Davis Phaneuf of Del Rio, TX. Brothers Jimmy Phaneuf of Plattsburgh, NY, Donald �"Donnie"� Phaneuf and wife Kim of Plattsburgh, NY, Shawn Phaneuf of Atoka, TN. Sister Brenda Dushane and husband Todd of Ticonderoga, NY. Grandchild, Sarah Phaneuf. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He and his wife Gloria were married on September 23, 2003, in San Angelo, TX, and had met on a blind date on February 22, 2000. Bill served as a volunteer firefighter at Cumberland Head New York Fire Department, Munford Tennessee Volunteer Fire Department, and a volunteer at Val Verde County Fire Department. Bill was also a Nationally Certified EMT and served in this capacity with the Shelby County, TN, Kinney County, TX, Amistad and Star Ambulances in Del Rio. Bill"�s Professional Firefighting career began when he was a teenager in Cumberland Head, NY. He served as a firefighter with Plattsburgh, NY AFB, Ft. Riley Kansas Army Base, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Naval Air Station in Millington, TN, Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, TX, RAF Croughton in the United Kingdom as the Assistant Chief of Operations and here at Laughlin AFB as a Station Chief. Bill was a big man physically"� but with even a bigger heart. He made many personal sacrifices to help others and was a fine man, husband, provider, friend and firefighter. He will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 2:00pm at Heritage Park, Laughlin Air Force Base, Del Rio, Texas.
