Dr. Wilford Winston Box, Ret. CMSGT, Ed.D
May 28, 1935 - January 7, 2022
Retired College Professor and Retired Chief Master Sergeant,
United States Air Force, passed in peace, Friday, January 7, 2022, at the age of 86.
Dr. Box's highest degree achieved was a Doctorate in Higher Education.
He achieved a total of five college degrees. Also receiving every five years, beginning in June 1984 until his retirement in 2021, induction in the Institute of Certified Professional Managers. AAS in Resource Management from the Community College of the Air Force, AAS in Business Management from Southwest Texas Junior College, Bachelors of Arts from the University of Albuquerque, a dual Masters Degree in Human Resources and Management from Webster University and his Doctorate of Higher Education from Nova Southeastern University. Holder of a Black Belt in the 1st degree in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan. In Korean Karate.
Preceded in death, his loving sisters; Edith M. Zois and Delmar May, loving brothers; Robert, Carl, Grady, and Latham. His parents Alfred Harris Box and Beulah May Browning. Left to treasure his memory and carry on his legacy, wife of 55 years, Sharon Pearl Box, daughters; Laura L. Tipton and her children; Thomas, Autumn, Logan, Cara, David, and Dakota. Daughter Edith V. Nino and husband, Rene Nino. Sons, David E. Box and husband Venancio (Ben) Fuentes, Jr. Son, Brian E. Box and his wife Irelia and their children; Aiden, Edward, Jazmin, Daniel and Benjamin.
Wilford will be fondly and dearly remembered by family and friends as a loving, dedicated husband and father. Wilford was a distinguished college professor of management, published author, hardworking, basketball and bowling enthusiast and player. Also known to be a sharp dressed man, professional, disciplined, dedicated, and a friend to all he came in contact with. A proud patriot and US Air Force Veteran.

Funeral Services: Friday, January 14, 2022, at 1:30pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1315 Kings Way, Del Rio, Texas.
Burial Services: To transpire after church services, burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 US-90, Del Rio, Texas
