Wayne Michael McNeil June 22, 1947-December 2, 2018 Wayne Michael McNeil, resident of Canyon Lake, Tx. died unexpectedly at his home on December 2, 2018 at the age of 71. Wayne is survived by his wife and best friend of almost 31 years, Patty McNeil, his son Wayne McNeil and his partner Laurie Foley, his daughter, Kristina Miller and her partner Luis Fernandez, along with his 2 granddaughters Katherine Miller, her partner Kyle Carr and Karlynn Miller. He is also survived by his sister Gail Longoria and her husband Marcus Longoria, nephew John Longoria and niece Jenny O'Loughlin, her husband Sean O'Loughlin and their 3 children. Wayne was born in Austin, Tx. on June 22, 1947 to Wayne H. and Nonnie McNeil. He served through his entire career at Exxon in Baytown, Tx. His 36 years with Exxon included functioning as Senior Section Supervisor and Captain of Fire Team 10 and a member of the original Exxon Baytown Rescue Team. He retired June 2002. Wayne was a much loved Brother and Captain of the Brotherhood of The Coast. His enthusiasm and love for the BOC and its members will never be forgotten. Alongside his wife Patty, Wayne owned and operated Fawncrest Vineyards, earning many accolades for the wines produced in their beautiful boutique vineyard. Wayne was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was at his happiest in the outdoors enjoying time as a private pilot and as a sailor on his sailboat Bon Vivant. He was also an avid hunter and in his later years loved hunting and working at his ranch, T.A.R.A. in Del Rio, Tx. He was always proud to offer trips to his ranch to friends, family and wounded warriors and was particularly thrilled to assist in someone's first hunt. Wayne's humor and spirit were infectious and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on January 12, 2019. Location and times to follow.
