Valdemar Salazar Guadiana, age 81 entered into rest peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at his home with his son and daughter. He was born April 25, 1942.

Son to the late Matilde and Jovita Guadiana and wife of 60 yrs, Yolanda Rivera Guadiana. Also father to the late son Marco Antonio Guadiana, grandson Valdemar "Val" Guadiana III and brother to the late Omar S. Guadiana. Left to cherish his memory, his son Valdemar "Pepe" Guadiana Jr. and daughter Viola (Ricardo) Guadiana-Lopez; grandchildren Joshua Polanco, Alvaro "Al" Lopez III, Brianna Y. Lopez, Chloe SeaAnne Guadiana, Marco A. Guadiana Jr. and Andrew J. Guadiana. Brother Fermin (Sandra) Guadiana and sisters Olvido (Samson) Ponce and Sylvia (Alberto) Rodriguez. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Valdemar also known as Valde or "Maestro" was a master mason, building many homes in the Buena Vista and Lake area in the 70's & 80's, among churches, banks, and businesses. He was also involved in the restoration of the County Court House. Our dad also had many hidden talents like playing the accordion, drawing, carpentry, and sculpting on rock. He sculpted and donated the stones with the SF Mustangs that are at the Plazita Brown Arch. Our dad loved the outdoor life with the grandkids, taking them to hike up the Loma de La Cruz, swimming at the "Pig Pen", picking up critters, wild flowers and exploring.

Forever grateful to the best friends that never left my father's side and keeping him company by going on Saturdays to see boxing matches with him, Fernando Romero and Ramon "Lilo"Castillo. In addition, a special thanks to Samson Ponce Sr. for checking on dad daily and keeping him company.
