Tomasa Govea, age 78, entered into rest December 4, 2014 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on March 30, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernesto Govea and parents Arnulfo and Maria de Jesus Hernandez. Also preceded in death by daughter, Cristina Govea, numerous brothers and sisters. Daughter-in-law Katherine Govea. Left to cherish her memory her sons, Juan Jose Govea and wife Norma, Jose Angel Govea. Daughters Cecilia Gutierrez and husband Oscar, Alma Govea and husband Edmundo Barrera. 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. She was known as "Tome" and was a very loving person. She will be remembered for her laugh and missed by all her family and friends. Gentlemen with the honor of pallbearers; Jerry Rios, Juan J. Govea family would like to thank Val Verde Regional Medical Hospice, Dr. Jaime Gutierrez and Virginia Rios, her provider, for the wonderful care given to our Mother during this difficult time. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2014, from 5:00- 9:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 8, 2014, 3:00pm, St Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
