Teresita De La Rosa, known to most as "Tere", entered eternal rest on May 17, 2026, reunited once again with the love of her life, her husband, Armando G. De La Rosa Jr. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Felipe and Soledad Montalvo; her in-laws, Armando and Neireda De La Rosa Sr.; her sister-in-law, Rosalinda De La Rosa; and her brother-in-law, Guadalupe Cuevas.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of her children: Robert (Malou) De La Rosa, Aracelie (Clay) Wiebush, Armando (Luis Zayas) De La Rosa III, and Barbara (Keith) Harrington. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to her four beloved grandsons, Isaac, Isaiah, Ian Harrington, and Armando Luis Zayas De La Rosa — affectionately known as "Los Cuatro Potrancos" — who brought endless joy to her life and will miss her deeply.

Born on October 14, 1953, in Del Rio, Texas, Tere built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and hard work. It was there she met her husband, and together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and resilience. Tere was an accomplished beautician and owner of "The Rose Boutique", for many years where she became especially known for her signature bob haircuts and warm spirit that welcomed everyone through her doors.

Later in life, she and her husband worked together at the Pinto Creek Ranch, where Tere became known and loved for her delicious cooking and caring nature. She had a quick wit and a collection of unforgettable sayings that her family will carry with them forever, including "Can't never tried," "No news is good news," and "Monkey see, monkey do."

Above all else, Tere's greatest joy was her family. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She always reminded them of the importance of family by always telling her kids that, "Kids before Grandma,'' (then as she quickly turned her attention to her grandsons and said) but "Grandma before girlfriends." Her love, humor, strength, and devotion will continue to guide those who knew and loved her.

Though she will be deeply missed, Tere's memory will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM followed by a chapel service at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

Funeral services will conclude after the chapel service.
