Socorro Maria L. Solis, age 88, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026. She was born in Tala, Jalisco, on March 17, 1938, to Francisco Lopez Navarro and Maria Casas.
Socorro lived a long and meaningful life rooted in family, faith, and quiet strength. She carried with her the traditions of her birthplace in Jalisco and the love of those who shaped her early years. Her gentle spirit and steady presence were felt deeply by those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Moises Solis, and numerous brothers and sisters.
Socorro is survived by her sister, Margarita Holguin, and her nephew Jimmy and his wife, Jean Holguin. Their love, care, and devotion surrounded her throughout her later years, and her memory will continue to live warmly in their hearts.
Funeral services will be led by Carlos Cerna, honoring Socorro’s life, legacy, and the family she cherished.
Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones who passed before her, and that her life will be remembered with gratitude and affection.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 10:00 am, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, with a burial to follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery I.
