Dallas Dexter Smith, a retired Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt) in the United States Air Force and a beloved husband, father, and Papa, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Thelma Smith, and his brothers, Warren Smith Jr., Harold Smith, and James Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Smith; his children, Brenda Smith-Hogan (Steve), Tracey Smith (Delaney), Kimberly Smith, and Debbie Smith-Tamayo (Steve); his grandchildren, Sylvia Nicolle Reynolds (Percy), Christopher Brian Garnish Jr., Steven Seth Smith-Tamayo, Phoenix Zachary Page, and Dallas Isabella Smith-Tamayo; and his great-grandchildren, Brennah, Braelynn, Ash, Greyson, and Waylon.

He is also survived by his sisters, Novella McCracken (James) and Connie Buchannon (Melvin), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members in West Virginia.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday , July 29, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation will continue on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, Texas.

Followed by a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy. 90 East, Del Rio, Texas, with Full Military Honors rendered by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
