Sharon Elizabeth Jensen, 72, passed away on September 19, 2024, in Del Rio, Texas.

Sharon was born on December 22, 1951, to Albert and Betty Evig in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was the youngest of two children. She graduated in 1970 from Ft. Collins High School.

After high school, Sharon met Allen Jensen. They were married on August 7, 1976. Allen and Sharon moved to Prosser, Washington in 1978 where Allen managed a lumber yard. While in Prosser, they had their first son, Ted. Two years later their second son, Ben, was born. In 1982, they moved back to Colorado so Sharon could help care for her father. They were living in Kersey when their son, Andy, was born. Shortly after Andy was born, they moved back to Ft. Collins.

Sharon enjoyed staying home with the boys while they were young. She took part in Cub Scouts when the kids were little. Later, she was an active leader and superintendent in 4H. Sharon was a huge supporter of the boys and their activities. As the boys grew up, she got a job with the Poudre R-1 School District where she worked until her retirement in 2017. She was always happy to support the boys in their life ventures, from traveling to PBR performances and hunting in Texas to attending their weddings in three different states, always smiling and happy to be with them. She expressed the same support and enthusiasm for her grandchildren.

After retiring, Allen and Sharon moved to Brackettville, Texas to enjoy a warmer climate and be closer to Ben and his growing family. Sharon enjoyed crocheting, reading, fishing and her dogs. She loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Betty, and her mother-in-law Betty Jensen. She is survived by her husband Allen, sons Ted (Denise), Ben (Cristina) and Andy (Michelle), brother Dan (Barb), eight grandchildren, father-in-law, Gordon, nieces and nephews, several cousins and her Aunt Marilyn who was incredibly special to her. We love her and she will be missed, but what a joy it was to be a part of her life.

There will be a private service for immediate family at a later date.
