Samuel M. Flores, age 60 of New Braunfels passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 14, 1956 in New Braunfels to Jose L. Flores and Oralia Montoya Flores. Samuel was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served proudly for his country. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his brothers Jose M. Flores, Jr. and his wife Dora Alicia, Robert M. Flores, Michael M. Flores, Roy M. Flores and his wife Barbara, Adrian M. Flores; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 5 PM to 9 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel of Faith. Visitation will continue Friday, January 6, 2017 from 9 AM to 9:45 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM with Rev. Francois Rakotovoavy, MSF, celebrant. A reception will be held at the church hall immediately following the funeral mass. Serving as pallbearers will be his brothers including Jimmy Flores and Rene Flores.
