Rudolfo L. Gomez, Sr., of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on June 29, 2025. He was born in New Braunfels, Texas, on June 8, 1938, to Sebero Gomez, Sr. and Josefina Gomez. Rudolfo is survived by his loving wife Paula Gomez of sixty-six years, his daughter, Barbara Elizondo, four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren;his brother; Jose Gomez and his wife Mary, and his sister Mary Saenz. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Rudolfo Gomez, Jr. and granddaughter, Veronica Jackson. Brothers, Melcher Gomez, and Severo Gomez, Jr., and sisters; Clara Mesa, Genoveva Torres, Petra Hernandez, Marcelina Garcia and Alice Gomez. Rudy retired from Cemex Cement Company of New Braunfels, Texas. He enjoyed traveling to Wisconsin to watch his beloved Green Bay Packers play. In his spare time, he enjoyed deep sea fishing with his grandson, and enjoyed rooting on his grandchildren at their sports activities. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 7, 2025, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00pm held at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with an interment to follow at 11:15am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery #1.
