Rosalinda G. Benavides, age 77, entered rest at her home in Del Rio, Texas, on February 26, 2025. She was born on December 12, 1947 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, to the late Dario and Elida Gomez (Zavala). She was also preceded in death by a brother, Elías Gomez.

She is survived by her husband, Raúl Benavides, Jr., her three children, Alma Rosa Benavides González of Del Rio, TX, Raúl Benavides III (Melinda) of San Antonio, TX, and Mark Anthony Benavides of San Antonio, TX; nine grandchildren: Sarah Nicole González, Oscar González, Oscar González, Steven Brandon González, Victoria Benavides, Isabella Sofia Benavides, Amanda Benavides, Madeleine Benavides, and Raúl Benavides; six great-grandchildren: Camila Sophia Maltos, Aleyza González, Raúl González, Evelyn Rose González, Ronaldo González, and Maribel Lupita González.

Other survivors include six siblings: Elisa Reyna of San Antonio, TX, Vicente Gómez of Touchet, WA, Yolanda Richards of San Antonio, TX, Maria Gómez of San Antonio, TX, Terry Hankel of Rockport, TX, and David Gómez of Eastland, TX.

A visitation service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N Bedell Ave, Del Rio, TX 78840.

Funeral service will conclude after the visitation.
