It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rosa Amelia Galindo, age 81, who went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2025.
Born in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico on September 21, 1944, she devoted her life to her family and to her faith. A true homemaker at heart, she found joy in caring for others, especially through her delicious cooking and warm hospitality. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aroma of her meals and the laughter of family gathered around her table.
She was a woman of deep faith who trusted in God in all things. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and unconditional love touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. She carried in her heart the memory of her daughter, Aidee Galindo Garcia and son, Antonio Galindo, her parents and several siblings who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jose Antonio Galindo, daughters Patricia Rodriguez (Rogelio), Lorena Saldua (Michael), son Juan J. Galindo (Cintia) and son-in-law Victor Roberto Garcia. Grandchildren Carlos Calderon, Victor Garcia, Victoria Garcia, Rogelio Rodriguez, Jr., Adrian Rodriguez, Jonathan Galindo, Joshua Galindo, Marc Anthony Galindo, Madison Galindo, Valeria Saldua, Michael Saldua, Jr. Camila Saldua and Ariana Saldua. Ten great grand children and numerous other family members.
Her family members will forever cherish her memory and the example she set of love, devotion, and strength.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Calderon, Rogelio Rodriguez, Jr, Adrian Rodriguez, Jonathan Galindo, Michael Saldua, Jr. and Marc Anthony Galindo.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.
Visitation will continue on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 3:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 509 W. Garza St. Del Rio, Texas.
The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
