Rosa Elia Perez, age 58, passed away peacefully into the Lord's arms on Sunday, November 4, 2018 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on April 18, 1960 in Del Rio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father Julio O. Perez; brother Ismael Perez and grandnephews Christian Perez and Ruben Angel Perez as well as numerous aunts and uncles. She is survived her mother Rosa Elia Perez; sister Maria de Lourdes Jalomos and husband Pete; brothers Juan Jose Perez and wife Rosie, Julio Perez, Jr. and wife Tina, Fernando Perez and wife Lisa, and Ricardo Perez and wife Cecilia. She is also survived by 11 nephews and nieces and numerous grandnephews and grandnieces. Rosa will forever be remembered for her quick smile and her willingness to help others. Rosa enjoyed so many things but above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Other hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, loteria, bowling, and playing monopoly. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing. She was a beautiful light in our world and her memory will forever be cherished. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM will be recited by Richard Hernandez at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the Honor of Pallbearers are Richard Perez, Fernando Perez, Julio Perez, Agapito Jalomos, Abel Valencia and Joel Perez. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Laing, Dr. J.J. Gutierrez and all the staff at Val Verde Nursing and Rehab Center for their excellent care and kindness during Rosa's stay there.
