Romelia M. Lara, age 73, entered into rest on Sunday, August 16, 2020 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on September 20, 1946 in Del Rio, Texas. Preceded in death by her late husband, Roberto "Beto"Lara and son Gary M Cruz, Father Aldegundo Martinez and mother Tomasita Cuellar. Also by her brother Reynaldo Martinez. Left to cherish her memory are her Sons Juan G Cruz III and wife Julie Cruz, Jessie M. Cruz. Daughter Sandra Rodriguez and husband Lionel Rodriguez. Brother Reymundo Martinez and Sisters Olivia Castro and Mary Martinez. Companion Zenon Perez. 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews who were very dear to her. Romi will be remembered as a loving, caring, giving person with the biggest heart. Romi was always surrounded by family and friends and it was never a dull moment with her great cooking or just playing cards or loteria. Romi will be deeply missed here on Earth but Heaven got another Angel. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020, 3:00pm-7:00pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020, 2:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the Honor of Pallbearers are Lazaro Castro, Gary Cruz Jr., Christopher L Cruz, John Moncibais, Alfonso Moncibais and Mark Martinez. Interment will follow at San Felipe Cemetery.
