Richard Wayne Babb, Jr. age 42 of Lufkin, Tx. went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2024 (found February 14) in Del Rio, Tx while fishing on the Rio Grande River. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11am at Clawson Assembly of God in Pollok, Tx.

Richard was born December 8, 1981. He is survived in death by his wife of 17 years, Jessica Babb; daughter Alyssa Babb; sons Kaden and Karter Babb of Lufkin. Parents include Suzanne and Henry of Zavalla and Richard and Sheila Babb of Lufkin; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Wayne and Wanda Leubner. Siblings include Amanda and Steven Wright, Howard and Lindsey McDaniel, Kevin and Nichole McDaniel, Ashley and Jeremy Gauthier; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Katy and Slade Johnson and brother in-law Jonathan Leubner. As well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparents James and Judy Babb, and Kenneth and Mary Dykes.

Richard "Man" Babb was a devoted husband and father. His children were his greatest accomplishments in life. He loved his family fiercely and was extremely proud of all three of his children.

Richard was an avid outdoorsman, a hunter and fisherman who lived life to the fullest. To know him was to love him, he was a friend to all. His life impacted many and the legacy he has left will live on forever in the hearts of many.
