Raul Balderas, age 90, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on July 22, 1935.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Gloria Garcia de Balderas; his sisters, Aurora B. Yanez and Alejandra Balderas; and his brother, Baltasar Balderas.

He is survived by his son, Pedro Balderas Garcia; his grandchildren, Raul Balderas, Maria Gloria Balderas, Paloma Balderas, and Pedro Balderas Jr.; and his siblings, Urbano Balderas, Ignacio Balderas, Baldemar Balderas, Pablo Balderas, San Juana B. Garcia, Jesus Balderas, Maria Luisa B. Rodriguez, Reymundo Balderas, Marial Balderas, Lorenzo Balderas, Manuel Balderas, Rosario Balderas, Pedro Balderas, and Adela Balderas.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; recitation of the holy rosary at 5:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation continues on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home; followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 510 Wernett St, Del Rio, Texas.

The interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
