Randall Edward Ahlstrom of Canyon Lake, Texas passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019. He was born August 29, 1958, to George Ahlstrom and Ruth Anderson in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1976. He moved to Aspen Colorado in June 1990. He was a long time employee of Kenichi in Aspen. He married Patty Hutt (Hayden) 1993-1996. In 1996, he moved to Silver City NM, where he worked at NM State Government Services land Management Bureau. In 2012, he moved to Canyon Lake, Texas. Randall loved meeting new people and making lifelong friends. He never met a stranger and was an expert at making everyone feel comfortable in his presence. He was an amazingly well-rounded human-being who could discuss a multitude of varied subjects. He had an incredible wit and a strong mind for learning. He loved being part of nature and would often write a note to a friend or family member to describe the sight he was witnessing and share it with a loved one. He was an accomplished marksman and an avid hunter. He loved researching, studying and learning any and everything about firearms. He was the oldest of five children of Ruth Anderson Ahlstrom Lloyd and George Edward Ahlstrom. He is now reunited with his little brother Rowell Erwin Ahlstrom (1963 - 1998). He is survived by his mother Ruth Lloyd (Canyon Lake), father George (Diane) Ahlstrom (Weston, CO), brother Russell (Jan) Ahlstrom (San Antonio), sister Rhae Nell (Steve) Poteet (Franklin, TN), sister Rhae Chell Mauze (San Antonio), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His kindness, humor and love of life will be sorely missed.
