Rafael B. Salas age 80, entered into rest December 29, 2006, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born June 10, 1926 in Del Rio, Texas. He was a World War II Army Veteran and was a Purple Heart recipient. He is preceded in death by his son Mario A. Salas, parents Ramon and Julia Salas, brothers Gilberto Salas and sisters Beatrice S. Ramirez and Rebecca S. Huizar. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Consuelo V. Salas. Sons: Armando V. Salas, Rafael H. Salas, Brother, Jose Maria Salas and sisters Leonor Chacon, Aracely S. Torres, and Alicia S. Frausto. Grandchildren; Melissa Fuentes, Selina Salas, Mario Salas Jr., Mark Salas, Alyssa Salas, Amanda Jo Talamantez, and Armando Salas Jr., Three Great- Grandchilren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, January 1, 2007 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel of Remembrance. Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #595.
