Our Beloved Father Pedro Solis went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on April 29, 1937 to the late Juan and Maria Solis in Durango, Mexico. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Teresa Solis. Daughters; Teresa Solis and son in law Reynaldo Rojas, Juany Solis and son in law Marco Antonio Segura, Carmen Solis, Eva Solis, Maria Swann and son in law John Swann, Delia Palafox and son in law Pedro Palafox. Grandchildren; Lorena Rojas, Vanessa Rojas, Reynaldo Rojas, Marco Antonio Segura, Diana Melissa Segura, Pedro Daniel Segura, Eva Marie Solis, Fernanda Palafox and Pedro Palafox Jr. Great-Grandchildren; Natalia Garcia and Santiago Luca Palafox. He is also survived by his Brother Gilberto Solis and Sister Soledad Cisneros and numerous nieces and nephews. Our daddy was the kindest man you could ever meet, always thinking of others before himself. He was a hard working man, of many talents, there was not a thing he could not fix. Mostly self taught he could fix cars and anything around the house. He was flipping houses before that was a thing. His occupation was construction as a heavy machine operator in Snyder, Texas. But to us he could be a carpenter, plumber, mechanic, and chef. His greatest passion was gardening with my mom and they would spend countless hours tending to their beautiful garden. Greatest childhood memory is Sundays after attending mass he would take us to the park and cookout and make his delicious fajitas. So many wonderful memories of him singing and dancing even with his grandkids and great grandkids. He especially enjoyed teaching them prayers and songs including his favorite, "El corrido de Chihuahua". Always happy and in good spirits, never saw him angry. He was a man of great faith and devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary, which I'm sure was the first to welcome him home with open arms. Our lives have changed forever since your departure but these wonderful memories will keep you close to us. Enjoy heaven's beautiful gardens and save us a seat next to you for when we meet again. Mass will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 3:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
