Pedro Huerta Sr, age 65, entered into to rest on April 13, 2024, in San Antonio, Tx. He was born January 25, 1959, in San Antonio, TX.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Huerta Jr., and his maternal grandparents, Pedro and Dominga Hernandez and paternal grandparents Jose Huerta Sr., and wife Teresa Rivas Huerta. His daughter Monica Huerta, his sister Mary Coronado, his brothers, Jose Huerta III, Joeluis Huerta, and Robert Huerta.

As a young man he learned a trade of cabinet-making handed down by his beloved father, he worked in construction and served many people within the Del Rio community sharing the gift of the craft passed on to him by his Dad.

Pedro Huerta was a loving son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He took pride in being there to help others in need and always making the people around laugh with his infectious smile. His personality was larger than life and his heart was pure laughter.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Maria H. Huerta, his children Erika Huerta ( Michael) of Fort Worth, Texas, Anabelia Saldivar ( Pedro) of Kyle, Texas , Pedro Huerta Jr.( Estefanie) of Houston, Texas, and Edward Solis ( Juanita) of Del Rio, Texas.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua, Elisa, Alexis , Michael, Rosabela, Jase, Matthew, Pedro, Brandie, Issac, Sadi, Noel, Remy, Jacob, Andre, Aubrey, Edward Jr., Elias, Ezel, Alaizay, Destiny, Brandy, Faith, and Aaliyah. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Josiah, Zeke, and Jisell. Brothers and sisters, Terri Reyes of San Angelo, Texas, Janie Samarripa (Tom) of Odessa, Texas, Hilda H. Jewell (Steve) of San Angelo, Texas , Adolfo Huerta of Zaineville , Ohio, Gilbert Huerta (Kim) of Berlin Maryland, Leo Huerta (Debbie) of San Antonio, Texas, Carmen Bautista (Henry) of San Angelo, Texas. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends, whom he held closely in his heart.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church

The interment will follow at San Felipe Cemetery.
