Paula Z. Garza, age 87, entered into rest on Sunday, June 24, 2018 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on May 16, 1931 in Mexico. She was preceded in death by her daughter Minerva Garza; parents Francisco Zuniga and Maria De La Luz Escobedo; siblings Mariana Martinez, Guadalupe De Luna, Jose Zuniga, Humberto Zuniga, Juan Zuniga, and Jesus Zuniga. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Alfredo Garza, sons Juan Raul Garza, Alfredo Garza, Jr., Jaime Garza, Jesus Garza, Santos Garza, and Mario Alberto Garza; daughters Maricela Barragan, Araceli Barragan, and Maria De La Luz Hidalgo; siblings Paulo Zuniga, Maria Moreno, and Edelmira Valdez. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church located at North end of Langtry Street, Comstock, Texas. Interment will follow at Comstock Cemetery.
