Pat Satterfield peacefully passed away from this life on October 12, 2024. She was blessed with a life well-lived. She was a daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend that loved and was well-loved.

Patricia Antoinette Tegeler was born on May 29, 1946 in Houston, Texas to Juanita Evelyn Ader and Ray Frank Tegeler. After living some of her childhood in Houston and western Louisiana, her family moved to Odessa where she eventually met the love of her life, Earnest Delmont Satterfield. So young and eager to begin life together, Pat at 13 years young and Earnie at 15 eloped to Jaurez, Mexico to enter their lifelong union in 1960. They made their nuptials legal in Odessa, Texas on March 31, 1962.

Pat and Earnie welcomed son, Timothy Lee Satterfield on September 14, 1962 and daughter, Tammie Marie Satterfield on March 27, 1965 in Odessa. A homemaker her entire life, she instilled the value of hard work, the love of sharing a good meal (or lemon cake), and the fun of making memories with family and friends. In the early seventies, Pat and Earnie moved their family to Fort Stockton, Texas to open RPM Machine Shop.

In the early nineties, Pat and Earnie moved to Del Rio, Texas where Earnie began work as a machinist at Laughlin Airforce Base. Always eager to enjoy life on the water, they bought a houseboat and lived on Lake Amistad for some time before making their home on land. True to their love of both land and water, they settled on a small piece of land near Lake Amistad, creating their homestead there. Even into their later years, they continued to enjoy life, on the water with a rod and reel in hand, in the water with their animals, or on a boat with their family and friends.

An avid gardener, Pat had a remarkable green thumb that transformed her yard into a sanctuary for plants, flowers, and her beloved lemon tree. She took pride in the blooms, colors, and beauty of her little piece of paradise. Whether tending her plants or taking care of the multitude of cats and dogs she and Earnie took in and loved over the years, she found joy in nurturing and providing care.

In February of 2022, Pat and Earnie moved to Rocksprings, Texas to enjoy their love of animals and country living in the little casita at "Timmy's place" as she would lovingly refer to Tim and Gayla's property. Knowing this was their final move, they were eager to live out the rest of their years filled with back porch sitting, animal loving, and all the things that make a life lived in the country so enjoyable.

Pat is survived by son, Timothy (Tim) Satterfield and wife, Gayla; her daughter, Tammie Satterfield and Jimbo Moore; grandchildren, Jessica Huddle, Blake Satterfield, Torye Graves, Dalton Walters; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a very special bonus mom Leila Fay Tegeler; sisters, Angele Ostermeyer, Maureena McDonald, Laverne Moody (Dennis); sister-in-law, Carolyn Tegeler; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Earnest Delmont Satterfield. She was also preceded by her grandson, Taelor Walters; brother, Mike Tegeler; and her parents.

Dick and Teresa Wirtz, Susan Ridgeway, Dee Money, and Joni and Dexter Tooke, you will always hold a special place in our hearts for your love, friendship, and the care you showed to Pat.

Pat's devotion to Earnie was a testament to loyalty through hard times, good times, and all the life in between. Her favorite marriage advice was "never go to bed angry at each other." The love that they shared was deeply admired by all those who knew them.
