Pablo Barrera, age 82, entered into rest on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on August 11, 1942 in Del Rio, Texas. He was the eldest son of Felix R. Barrera and Lilia Briones Barrera. Pablo attended Garfield Elementary and Memorial Middle School in Del Rio until he and his family moved to California and lived in Watsonville and Gilroy in the late 1950's. Pablo would go on to graduate from Gilroy High School in the early 1960's, before moving back to Del Rio, Texas in 1969.

Early in his career, Pablo joined the staff at San Felipe-Del Rio CISD and dedicated over 30 years of his career to students and fellow staff members of the district.

His entire life, Pablo enjoyed hobbies such as reading, singing, playing his guitar, listening to music, and spending time with family. But most of all, he loved to dance.

Pablo will be remembered for his contagious laughter, and for his radiant smile and dimples that were a reflection of his positive, fun-loving attitude and his kind heart.

Pablo is preceded in death by his father, Felix R. Barrera, and his mother, Lilia Briones Barrera. He is survived by his siblings Sagrario Barrera Rojo, Rosario Barrera, Lilia Barrera Villalon, and David Barrera.
