Oscar Luis Rizo, lovingly known as "Calin," passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, at the age of 82. He was born on December 16, 1943, in Del Rio, Texas.

Oscar lived a life full of love, dedication, and kindness. He had a deep passion for hunting and fishing, hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memoriesthat will be treasured forever.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita E. Rizo; his parents, Oscar and Evangelina Rizo; and his sister, Dalia Potter.

Oscar is survived by his daughters, Anbelia Rizo and Annette Rizo Welch and her husband, Leroy N. Welch Jr.; his grandchildren, Dena Welch and her partner, Marilu Segovia; Jennifer Pineda and her husband, David A. Pineda; Leroy Welch III and his wife, Frances Welch; and Selena Cadena and her husband, Diego Cadena; his siblings, George Rizo and wife, Rosie Rizo; Maricela Santillan and her husband, Mauro Santillan; and Lori Rizo; and his great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jaden, Mylah, Ares, Malachi, Behati, Makarri, Alex, Destiny, Mariah, Scarlett, and Cataleya. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Oscar will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be David Pineda, Diego Cadena , Joseph Pineda, Leroy Welch, III, Dena Welch, Alex Soto.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation will continue on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home; followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 509 W. Garza St., Del Rio, Texas. The interment will follow at San Felipe Cemetery, Del Rio, Texas.
