With deep sorrow and much love, the family of Olivia Calderón Domínguez announces her passing on May 19, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born on December 23, 1937 in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico. She lived most of her life in Del Rio, Texas, where she built a life centered on love, devotion and community.

A faithful and devout Catholic, Olivia was active in the Guadalupano Choir at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, where she found joy and purpose through song and prayer. Her faith was the foundation of her life and an example to all.

Olivia will be remembered for her kind heart, strength and humble spirit. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking with love, going for walks and staying active. But most of all, what she valued most was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren-her greatest pride and joy.

She is survived by her beloved children: Juan Carlos Calderon and his wife Maricruz Calderon, Maricela Mendoza and her husband Raul Mendoza, Maribel Barrera and her husband Alonzo Barrera, Norma Yolanda Venegas and husband Heriberto Venegas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Calderon Flores, and her son, Marco Antonio Calderon.

She leaves a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Marco Mendoza, Cristal Carrillo, Raul Mendoza, Priscilla Barrera, Carlos Calderon, Heriberto Venegas Jr, Celina Barrera and Dulce Lopez, as well as numerous great-grandchildren who will carry on her memory with pride and affection.

Her message to the family was simple but profound: "Love each other, take care of each other, and always be united as a family."

Services honoring her life will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Del Rio, Texas. Details will be shared with family and loved ones.

Her absence leaves a huge void, but her love will live forever in our hearts.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave.

The mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 509 W. Garza St.

Gentlemen with the honor of pallbearers are Alonzo Barrera, Refugio L Domínguez Jr., Ismael Gonzalo Domínguez, Marco Mendoza, Juan Raul Mendoza, Heriberto Venegas Jr., and Heriberto Venegas Sr.

The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 US Hwy 90 East.

Con profundo dolor y mucho amor, la familia de Olivia Calderón Domínguez anuncia su fallecimiento el 19 de mayo de 2025, a la edad de 87 años. Nacida el 23 de Diciembre de 1937 en Zaragoza, Coahuila, México. Vivió la mayor parte de su vida en Del Río, Texas, donde construyó una vida centrada en el amor, la devoción y la comunidad.

Fiel y devota católica, Olivia fue activa en el Coro Guadalupano en la Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, donde encontró gozo y propósito a través del canto y la oración. Su fe fue el cimiento de su vida y un ejemplo para todos.

Olivia será recordada por su corazón bondadoso, su fortaleza y su espíritu humilde. Disfrutaba coser, cuidar su jardín, cocinar con amor, salir a caminar y mantenerse activa. Pero, sobre todo, lo que más valoraba era pasar tiempo con sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos—su más grande orgullo y alegría.

Le sobreviven sus hijos amados: Juan Carlos Calderón y su esposa Maricruz Calderón, Maricela Mendoza y su esposo Raúl Mendoza, Maribel Barrera y su esposo Alonzo Barrera, Norma Yolanda Venegas y su esposo Heriberto Venegas.

Fue precedida en muerte por su esposo, Antonio Calderón Flores, y su hijo, Marco Antonio Calderón.

Deja un legado de amor a través de sus nietos: Marco Mendoza, Cristal Carrillo, Raúl Mendoza, Priscilla Barrera, Carlos Calderón, Heriberto Venegas Jr., Celina Barrera y Dulce López, además de numerosos bisnietos que llevarán su memoria con orgullo y cariño.

Su mensaje a la familia fue sencillo pero profundo: "Ámense, cuídense, y estén siempre unidos como familia."

Los servicios en honor a su vida se llevarán a cabo en la Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en Del Río, Texas. Los detalles serán compartidos con la familia y seres queridos.

Su ausencia deja un vacío inmenso, pero su amor vivirá por siempre en nuestros corazones.

La velación se llevará a cabo el jueves 22 de mayo de 2025 de 4:00 PM a 8:00 PM; recitación del Santo Rosario a las 6:30 PM en Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave.

La misa de entierro cristiano se llevará a cabo el viernes, 23 de mayo de 2025, a las 10:00 AM en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, 509 W. Garza St.
