Ninfa R. Gonzalez, age 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Del Rio, Texas on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. She was born September 28, 1927, in Del Rio, Texas. Ninfa is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Raul V. Gonzalez on October 4, 1999. Ninfa is survived by her seven loving children: Maricela G. Strehlau (Edward); Raul A. Gonzalez (Rosalinda) from Eagle Pass, TX; Roberto Gonzalez (Silvia); Reginaldo Gonzalez (Martha) from Houston, TX; Ruben Gonzalez (Alma); Rogelio (Roger) Gonzalez and Melva Perez (Bobby). She is survived by 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank our mother's loving health home provider of 12 years Matilde Alejandro for her care, respect and compassion Ninfa worked at the Hicks Ponder jean factory for many years then operated her own small home business selling food items to the same factory's cafeteria for many years. Visitation will be held Monday, January 31, 2022, 4:00-7:00 at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022, 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
