Nieves Torres, Jr., age 64, entered into rest on April 17, 2025 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on May 21, 1960 in Del Rio, TX.

Nieves Torres beloved son, brother, and uncle. Born on May 21, 1960, grew up in Del Rio, Texas. Attended the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, Texas. Where he participated in football and wrestling. In the summer he would come back home and enjoy his summer by helping our father at the ranch. After graduating in class of 1980, he went to work at the Del Rio News Herold in the printing department. After that, he went to work at Laughlin Air Force Base at the commissary. Then he had complications with his kidney and received a transplant, after 25 years his transplant went bad and he continued his battle, until his death.

He was preceded in death by his father; Nieves R. Torres in 2011, then recently his aunt; Virtudes Cardenas, then his older sister; Elsa Torres, and Niece; Blanca Estela Torres.

He is survived by his mother; Maria Renteria Torres, aunt; Rosalinda Renteria, Brother Nieves Torres, sister; Eva Gutierrez, sister; Enedelia Torres (Sam), sister; Esperanza Herrera (Mario), brother; Roberto F. Torres, sister; Maria Balderas, sister; Catalina Leal (Raul), brother; Jose Luis Torres (Ana), brother; Elias Torres, brother; Jaime Torres, brother; Francisco Torres (Edna), brother; Javier Torres (Nancy).

His first nephews; Marcos Torres (Belen), Maria Moncivais (Justin), Roberto F. Torres Jr. (Amelia), David Torres (Priscilla), Raul Leal (Alyssa), Francisco Leal, Alejandra Ramos (Raul), Jose Luis Torres (Jaine), Luis Enrique Torres (Yvette), Felipe Torres (Yudith), Jaime Torres, Eduardo Torres, Lorena Torres (Adrian), Nancy Torres, Javier Torres, and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces and cousins.

He will be missed by our family members.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, TX.

The mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 307 E. Losoya St., Del Rio, TX.

The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 US Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, TX.
