Martin Rodriguez, age 60, entered into rest on Saturday, January 14, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. Martin was born on September 4, 1962 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born and raised in Del Rio where he attended local schools and graduated from Del Rio High School. He met and married his wife of 35 years, Sonya Lisa Ramon Rodriguez. They resided in San Antonio where he worked and retired from The Texas Department of Corrections. After retirement he could not stay idle and obtained several different jobs to stay busy. He worked for Amazon, Toyota and finally landed a Monday through Friday job with Bexar County. He laughed saying, "We're off constantly."

Martin passed peacefully with his wife and family at bedside.

Left in his life are wife, Sonya Lisa Ramon Rodriguez. Sister, Angelica Guerrero (Manuel), brothers, Jose Luis Rodriguez (Teresa), Federico Rodriguez, and Arturo Rodriguez, Romelia Ramon (mother-in-law). Numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Barrientos Rodriguez and Juanita Bravo Rodriguez. Frank Ramon (father-in-law), Romelinda Ramon and Sonia Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

Visitation will continue Monday, January 23, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
