Con mucha tristeza despedimos a nuestra querida mamá, Martha, una mujer fuerte, inteligente y llena de amor, que dejó una huella muy especial en la vida de todos los que la conocimos. Martha Galindo falleció el 16 de julio del 2026 a la edad de 85 años.

Nació el 28 de octubre de 1940 en Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico, a sus padres, Patricio y Guadalupe Galindo. Se casó con Raymundo Galindo el 28 de diciembre de 1960 y compartieron 65 años maravillosos de matrimonio. Fueron el amor de la vida, el uno para el otro.

Llegó a este país con muchos sueños y, con mucho esfuerzo y dedicación, salió adelante. Como inmigrante, construyó una vida para su familia siendo una mujer trabajadora, independiente, y siempre pensando en un mejor futuro para sus hijos. Nunca se dio por vencida y siempre encontró la manera de salir adelante.

Fue una verdadera luchadora. Venció el cáncer en tres ocasiones, enfrentando cada batalla con una fortaleza y valentía que siempre admiraremos. A pesar de los momentos difíciles, nunca perdió su alegría ni su bondad. Su sonrisa, su amabilidad y la forma en que hacía sentir bien a quienes la rodeaban serán recuerdos que llevaremos siempre con nosotros. Martha tenía muchos talentos. Aprendió a cocinar por su cuenta y nos regaló platillos que siempre recordaremos con cariño. También era una excelente costurera, capaz de crear cosas hermosas con sus propias manos. Era una mujer muy inteligente y siempre estaba dispuesta a compartir sus consejos y enseñanzas con sus hijos y con quien los necesitara. Pero, sobre todo, Martha fue el corazón de nuestra familia. Fue una esposa amorosa y una mamá ejemplar, que nos enseñó con su ejemplo el valor del trabajo, la honestidad y el amor por la familia.

Le sobreviven su esposo, Raymundo, sus hijos: Martha y su esposo Emil, Raymundo Jr. y su esposa Ingrid, Azucena, sus nueve nietos: Ilza, Luis, Alejandro, Amanda, Teresa, Araliza, Michael, Angela, Salvador, y cuatro bisnietos: Luka, Maya, Adley y Luca. La recordaremos siempre con muchísimo amor y gratitud. Le precedieron en la muerte su hijo, Rogiero; sus padres, Patricio y Guadalupe; su hermana, Rosa, y su hermano, Vicente.

Aunque ya no esté con nosotros, Martha vivirá para siempre en nuestros corazones. Su fortaleza, su amor y el ejemplo que nos dejó seguirán acompañándonos todos los días.

Un servicio funerario se llevará a cabo el jueves, 23 de julio de 2026 con visitación y rosario de 4:00-8:00 pm en la funeraria Sunset Memorial Oaks, ubicada en 2020 N Bedell Ave, Del Rio, TX 78840.

La misa se realizará a las 10:00 a.m. el viernes, 24 de julio de 2026 en St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 510 Wernett St., Del Rio, TX 78840.

Después del funeral, familiares y amistades son bienvenidos a asistir y compartir recuerdos de Martha a la 1:30 p.m. en el restaurante La Hacienda, ubicado en 330 Pecan St., Del Rio, TX, 78840.

With great sadness, we say goodbye to our beloved mother, Martha Galindo, a strong, intelligent, and loving woman who left a lasting impression on the lives of everyone who knew her. Martha Galindo passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 85.

She was born on October 28, 1940, in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico, to Patricio and Guadalupe Galindo. On December 28, 1960, she married Raymundo Galindo, and together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. They were each other's greatest love.

Martha came to the United States with many dreams, and through hard work and determination, she built a beautiful life for her family. As an immigrant, she was hardworking, independent, and always focused on creating a better future for her children. She never gave up and always found a way to overcome life's challenges.

She was a true fighter. Martha beat cancer three times, facing each battle with remarkable strength and courage that will always inspire us. Despite the hardships she endured, she never lost her kindness or her joyful spirit. Her warm smile, gentle heart, and the way she made everyone feel welcome will be remembered forever.

Martha was a woman of many talents. She taught herself to cook and filled our home with meals that we will always cherish. She was also an exceptional seamstress, creating beautiful things with her own hands. Highly intelligent and wise, she was always willing to share her guidance and advice with her children and anyone who sought it. Above all, Martha was the heart of our family. She was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother who taught us, by example, the value of hard work, honesty, and unconditional love for her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raymundo Galindo; her children, Martha and her husband Emil, Raymundo Jr. and his wife Ingrid, and Azucena; her nine grandchildren, Ilza, Luis, Alejandro, Amanda, Teresa, Araliza, Michael, Angela, and Salvador, and her four great-grandchildren, Luka, Maya, Adley, and Luca. We will remember her with deep love and gratitude.

She was preceded in death by her son, Rogiero; her parents, Patricio and Guadalupe Galindo; her sister, Rosa; and her brother, Vicente.

Although she is no longer with us, Martha will live forever in our hearts. Her strength, love, and the example she set will continue to guide us every day.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, TX.

The visitation will continue on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, TX, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 510 Wernett St., Del Rio, TX.

Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.

Following the funeral, family and friends are invited to gather at 1:30 p.m. at La Hacienda Restaurant, 330 Pecan St., Del Rio, Texas 78840, to share memories and celebrate Martha's life.
