Maria Anita Torres, born March 13, 1962 in New Braunfels, TX passed away on May 9, 2026 at the age of 64.

Maria is survived by her husband, Richard Torres, mother Gollita Cortez, sister; Ida Cuadra (Mauricio), brother Joe Cortez Sr. (Evangelina Cortez), brothers; Ruben Cortez, Adam Cortez, & Carlos Cortez (Annette Cortez), Ray Zavala, step daughter Melissa Valderrama (Edgar), she is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

Maria is proceded by her father & step mom Adan & Esther Cortez, step dad, Juan Garza, & grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Guadalupe Zavala and grandfather Pedro Cortez.

Maria loved working on puzzles and collecting different collectables.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 11:00am to 1:00pm

Funeral Service from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
