Maria Moreno, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born on November 25, 1941, and leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and family.

Maria was preceded in death by Fernando Jr., Leroy, Orlando, and Santos Calderon.

Maria was married to her devoted husband, Elias Moreno, for 64 years. Together, they built a life centered on family and faith.

She is survived by her eight children: Jose Elias (Francis), Alma, Hervey, Marcos, Cesar (Maria), Claudia, Antonia, and Adrian (Lucy).

Her legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren: Diego, Jose Elias Jr., Miguel, Mariela, Karina, Eduardo, Adrian Jr., Cesar Jr., Dariela, Erik, Alex, Jocelyn, and Luz Maria. Maria was blessed with 14 great-grandchildren: Liam, Owen, Orlando, Evan, Kamila, Isael, Estela, Ryan, Adrian III, Santiago, Ellie, Dylan, Ace, and Caleb.

She was also cherished by those related through marriage: Trenace, Bianca, Alexia, Luisa, Barbara, Krystal, Jesus and Eduardo Rdz.

A Life of Faith and Love

Maria was fiercely dedicated to her faith, which guided her throughout her life. She had a remarkable green thumb and tended her beloved plants with the same care and devotion she gave to her family. Some of her greatest joys came from playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching them grow and thrive. Maria also enjoyed the occasional soap opera, finding comfort and entertainment in those cherished moments of relaxation.

A woman of deep convictions and warm heart, Maria's influence will be felt for generations to come.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 30, 3026, from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM; followed by a mass of christian burial at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 509 W. Garza St., Del Rio, Texas.

The interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.

Maria Moreno, madre amada, abuela y bisabuela, falleció pacíficamente el 23 de junio de 2026, a la edad de 84 años. Nació el 25 de noviembre de 1941 y deja un legado de fe, amor y familia.

Maria fue precedida en la muerte por Fernando Jr., Leroy, Orlando y Santos Calderon.

Maria estuvo casada con su devoto esposo, Elias Moreno, durante 64 años. Juntos construyeron una vida centrada en la familia y la fe.

Una Vida de Fe y Amor

Maria fue fieramente dedicada a su fe, que la guió a lo largo de su vida. Tenía un talento notable para el cultivo de plantas y cuidaba sus queridas plantas con el mismo cuidado y devoción que daba a su familia. Algunos de sus mayores alegrías provenían de jugar con sus nietos y bisnietos, viéndolos crecer y prosperar. Maria también disfrutaba de las ocasionales telenovelas, encontrando consuelo y entretenimiento en esos momentos preciosos de relajación.

Una mujer de convicciones profundas y corazón cálido, la influencia de Maria será sentida por generaciones venideras.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el lunes 29 de junio de 2026, de 4:00 pm a 8:00 pm en la funeraria Sunset Memorial Oaks, ubicada en 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, Texas.

El velorio continuará el martes 30 de junio de 2026, de 8:30 am a 9:30 am, seguido de una misa de exequias a las 10:00 pm en la iglesia católica Our Lady of Guadalupe, situada en 509 W. Garza St., Del Rio, Texas.

El sepelio tendrá lugar en el cemeterio Sunset Memorial Oaks, ubicado en 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
