Dr. Maria De Jesus Medina, age 68, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born December 23, 1946 in Mexico. She was preceded in death by her Parents Juan and Velia; her Nephews Rogelio Medina Jr. and Jorge Reynoso. Dr. Medina served in the 1st Tour of Dessert Storm. Before becoming a Medical Doctor Dr. Medina served as an LVN and RN at Hale Center and WTSU, Texas. Dr. Medina received a Doctrine in General Medicine from Universidad Autonoma De Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, y de Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Eunice and Freddie Tijerina of Lubbock, Texas, Elizabeth Martinez of Del Rio, Texas; Granddaughters Melissa Carrillo of Lubbock, Texas, Sara Carrillo of Lubbock, Texas; Great Grandchildren Elexis Carrillo of Lubbock, Texas, Robert Cervantez Jr. of Lubbock, Texas, Evyn Cervantez of Lubbock, Texas, Adelynn Robles of Lubbock, Texas; Sisters Dora Zimmerman of Miles, Texas, Adela Fira of Del Rio, Texas, Leticia Medina of Austin, Texas; Brothers Armando Medina of Miles, Texas, Ambrose Medina of Miles, Texas, Ruben Medina of Austin, Texas and Rogelio Medina of Ballinger, Texas. Dr. Medina is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews, paternal Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 11:00AM at Primera Iglesia Bautista, 807 West Bean, Del Rio, Texas. Honorary Pallbearers; Leonardo A.
