Maria Duran Martinez, a lifelong resident of Brackettville, TX went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 15, 2019. She passed away at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Fort Worth, TX, at the age of 82. Maria was born in Villa Union, Mexico on September 14, 1936. She is the youngest survivor of ten children. Maria dedicated her life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a great woman of faith, a prayer warrior, a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family: Virginia M. Reschman (daughter), Eugene Martinez (son), and Grizel Darwin (daughter), including ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Friday evening April 19, 2019 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 Bedell Avenue Del Rio, TX 78840. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 11:00 AM at Frontier Baptist Church, Brackettville, TX 78832, followed by her burial at the Kinney County Cemetery.
