Martha Ziegler Gonzalez, born on February 11, 1941, in Piedras Negras, Mexico, went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2026, in Del Rio, Texas. Martha devoted her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 45 years, the late Honorable Judge Joey Gonzalez, and their four children.

Martha and Judge Joey became entrepreneurs in 2002 when they acquired Memes Kleen Kitchen. She was often seen at the restaurant, sitting in her favorite recliner chair, sampling all her favorite items from the menu.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Beatriz Ziegler; her husband, the late Honorable Judge Joey Gonzalez; her brother, Elias H. Ziegler; her mother-in-law, Amalia G. Forehand; and her daughter, Sandra Moncada Gonzalez.

Martha is survived by her children, Carolina Gonzalez, Jose Sergio Gonzalez, and Azalea Gonzalez (Eduardo); her grandchildren, Mia Lizette, Zoey Olivia, Sebastian Seth, and Eliseo Adan; her brother, Cesar Ziegler; her sisters-in-law, Jennie Owens (Bob Sanchez) and Rosie Phillips (Larry); as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Martha was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; she will be greatly missed by her beloved family and friends.

Gentlemen with the honor of Pallbearers are: Sebastian Seth Gonzalez, Eliseo Adan Ortiz, Judge Lewis Owens, Rocky Costilla, Ray Hernandez, and Armando Cervantes. Honorary Pallbearers are: Joe Frank Martinez, Doroteo Lozano III, David Martinez, Lawrence Cardenas, and Juan Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; recitation of the holy rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation continues on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, followed by the mass of Christian burial at 12:00 Noon, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 307 E. Losoya St, Del Rio, Texas.

The interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
