With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of "Moy", Maria Eladia Maldonado, who departed this life on February 17, 2026, at the age of 89. Moy was born on July 24, 1936, in Marfa, Texas to Anastacio and Maria Lujan. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend whose kindness and strength touched everyone who knew her.

She dedicated her life to her family and took great pride in being the best mother and grandmother. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Moy enjoyed crafting, cooking and gardening.

Moy is survived by her daughter Grace Maldonado of San Antonio; Daughter Gilda Jordan and son-in-law Larry Jordan of Dallas; Daughter Rosie Perez of Del Rio; Granddaughter Morgan Fletcher and her husband Scott Fletcher of Dallas; Kathleen Perez of College Station; Grandson Mason Jordan of Dallas; Great Granddaughter Mayven Ahearne of Dallas; sister Stella Morrrell of Arizona; Sister-in-law Dora Maldonado of Del Rio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her legacy of love, faith, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of her life will be as follows:

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation will continue on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 510 Wernett St, Del Rio, Texas.

The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
