Maria Eugenia Jaquez, age 90, entered into rest on March 27, 2019 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on November 15, 1928 Brazos, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents Natividad Vargas and Manuela Jimenez; son Sebastian Jaquez. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Eleuterio Jaquez; son Juan Jaquez and wife Carmen; daughters Martina Arizpe, Maria Oberst and husband Chris, Norma Smith, Elisa Cain and husband Brian, Veronica Strout and husband Larry, Rosy Richter and husband Chris, Alejandra Troas and husband Dionicio; her sister Victoria Vargas; 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
