Maria E. Gonzalez, age 95, entered into rest on Monday, April 24, 2017 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on September 30, 1921 in San Carlos, Coahuila, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose G. Gonzalez; son Mario Gonzalez; parents Juan and Martina Rodriguez. Left to cherish her memory is her sons Fernando Gonzalez and wife Aurora, Guadalupe Gonzalez and wife Margarita, Johnny Gonzalez and wife Romelia, Jesse Gonzalez and wife Lety; daughters Marta Ramos and husband Jaime, Rosie Rivera and husband Victor, Patricia Gonzalez and Maria Del Rosario Nieto. Also survived by 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the honor of pallbearers are Jesse Gonzalez, Eric Gonzalez, Fernando "Fenny" Gonzalez, Domingo "Sonny" Reyes, Danny Ray Gonzalez and Ryne Reyes. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
