Margaritta F. Quintanilla of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 14, 1968, in New Braunfels to Raymond and Odilia Fuentes.

Margaritta was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished sister. She is survived by her husband, Mike Quintanilla; her sons, Jason Gonzales and Emilio Fuentes Martinez; and her daughters, Tracy Lynn Gomez, Darlene Perez Gonzales, and Lori Lynn Gomez.

Her legacy lives on through her beloved grandchildren: Emanuel Z. Gomez, Matthew L. Gomez, Rogelio R. Gomez, Daisy L. Gomez, Lillyen L. Gomez, Aliyah L. Gomez, Elaina L. Gomez, Isabella L. Gomez, and Michael A. Gomez, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.

She is also survived by her brothers, Raymond Fuentes Jr., Robert Fuentes, Adam Fuentes, and Joey Fuentes; and her sisters, Eva Leos, Mary Jane Rodriguez, and Jeanette Rosales.

Margaritta was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Fuentes and Odilia Correa Fuentes, and her beloved son, Daniel Fuentes.

Margaritta had a deep love for life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed cooking out, fishing, and camping, often creating lasting memories with those she loved most. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren, whether taking them on outings or simply being together. Family was always at the center of her world. Known for her selflessness, Margaritta consistently put others before herself and was a source of comfort, strength, and unconditional love. One of her favorite pastimes was sharing a meal with loved ones at LongHorn Steakhouse, a place that brought her joy and laughter.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering devotion to her family, and the warmth she brought into every room.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Oaks funeral home, on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Joe Tostado. Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery #2.

Margaritta's love and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
