Margarita V. Villanueva, age 81, entered into rest on Monday, March 10, 2025 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on October 24, 1943. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfredo Villarreal and Paulita Aguilar; her husband Jose Garza, Sr., her brother Raul Villarreal; her sister Gloria Barrera, and her brother-in-laws Nicolas F. Chavarria, and Serapio Barrera.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Jose Luis Villanueva, Jr. (Debbie Meza); her daughters Janina I. Villarreal, Catalina C. Valenzuela (Rey Garcia), and Adriana C. Arreola (Cesar Giror, Jr.); her brother Alfredo Villarreal (Norma); her sisters Maria Elena Chavarria and Cristina Alexander; her sister-in-law Teresa Villarreal; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East.
