Margarita V. Salinas, age 96, entered into rest Thursday, January 28, 2021 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born September 7, 1924 in El Paso, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husbands Manuel Salinas, Sr., Juan Ramirez and Manuel Malingo Salinas. Parents Octaviano Villa and Maria Rosalez, daughter Elvira Briones, also Santos, Jesus and Maria Ramirez whom she raised as her own. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Juan (Graciela) Ramirez, daughters Carmen (Ricardo) Sanchez, Dora (Mario) Meza, Rosa (Pedro) Abrego. Margarita also raised Araceli Ura and Priscilla Salinas as her own. 29 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren and 89 great-great-grandchildren. Margarita was the youngest of 12 children. A very special thank you to her providers, Lorena and Aurora. She leaves behind her precious cat who she named Cara Sucia and her dog Tatiana. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 31, 2021, 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 5:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 1, 2021, 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
