Marcelo Puente Jr, age 69, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on April 21, 1951. In Del Rio Tx Proceeded in death by his parents Marcelo Puente Sr. Elvia Hernandez Puente and brother Danny " Sambo" Puente. Left to cherish his heart of gold and beautiful soul is his beloved wife of 52 years Maria E. Puente and his 5 children Marcelo (Mayra)Puente III of Del Rio Tx, Mary Lucinda Puente of San Antonio TX, Valerie (Armando) Patiño Jr of Del Rio Tx, Yesenia Puente of Del Rio Tx, & Maliene (Jake) Garcia of Del Rio Tx. His sisters Mary Sanchez and Sandra Puente. Also left to cherish the memories of his love for oldies music and dance 13 Grand children and 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary 5:00 PM. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Gentlemen with the Honor of Pallbearers are Marcelo Puente, III, Marcelo Puente, IV, Miguel Puente Pascual Medina, Armando Patiño, and Danny Puente, Jr; Honorary pallbearers are Xaviano Villegas and Jake Garcia. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
