Lynda Mae Hernandez, M.D. was born in Del Rio, Texas on April 7, 1981 as Lynda Mae Adriance and went home to be with her Lord on September 25, 2010. Her time on this earth was not long enough for those that knew her but what time she spent we us was filled to overflowing. She survived an illness as a child that physicians said she would not survive and that if she did survive would not be filled with the joys she desired. Lynda took God at his work in Jeremiah 29:11, �"For surely, I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord; Plans for your good and not for harm, to give you a future with hope."� The Lord granted Lynda her joys during the time she spent on this Earth. She was very active in her community as a child and in her high school years. She attended advance classes, took college classes in high school, served as Miss. San Felipe, Miss. Del Rio, a member of the Bells, and graduated with honors. She always shared her love and faith in God with those she met. Lynda met the love of her life when she was only 13 years of age, Roy Hernandez Jr. Roy waited for Lynda to grow up to make her his wife. They shared 10 years of marriage and were blessed with two children, Roy Joseph Hernandez and Dallas Jay Hernandez. During the years of her marriage Lynda completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio and while a Captain in the United States Air Force Reserve her Doctor of Medicine at UTSAHSC at San Antonio. She was in her third year of residence for Obstetrics & Gynecology at Dallas Methodist hospital. Lynda lived her medical career by these scriptures; Psalms 139:13-16 & Jeremiah 1:5. During her years with us Lynda took time to enjoy life with all of her families. If you met Lynda you became her family and she was always there to help you and bless you. Lynda is survived by her husband Roy Hernandez Jr., sons Roy Joseph Hernandez & Dallas Jay Hernandez; parents Joseph & Shirley Adriance, brother Daniel Adriance, sisters Maryanda Cadena & Rebecca Brangham; in-laws: Michael Brangham; Jimmy & Martha White, Roy Sr.& Susie Hernandez. Priscilla Hernandez, Brijido Hernandez & Eloy Hernandez; a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, church families, co-workers and friends that were all blessed to have her in their lives. Visitation will be held Friday, October 1, 2010, 5:00pm-9:00pm, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Remembrance. Chapel Service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010, 2:00pm, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
