Lupe Merrell, 95 passed away September 26, 2021, in Del Rio, Texas. She was born November 9, 1925, in Navajo, New Mexico. She is survived by her daughters: Mary Callender (Jeff) of Lancaster, California, and Helen (John) Bastian; sons: James A. Suarez (Leticia) of Del Rio, Texas, Raymond J. Suarez (Ruth) of San Diego, California, and Robert Merrell (partner Donna) of San Diego, California; sibling brother: Ruben Gonzales; and numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy M. Merrell and her parents and 9 siblings and two grandsons. The family gives thanks to Dr. Cadena, PA Judith Olivares of Cadena Family practice, and Superior Hospice staff, and to all the supportive caregivers throughout the years for her caring. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 2:15 PM at Ft. Sam Houston, National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
