Luis Alberto Sanchez, age 82, entered into rest on Saturday, July 4, 2026 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on November 2, 1943 in Cuatro Cienegas, Coahuila, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his mother Sara Sanchez. Luis was a devoted family man who taught his children the value of hard work by perfecting his craft for over fifty years as an upholsterer (tapicero).

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Josefina, his children Jose Luis, Veronica, Gilberto (Laura), and Alexandra, his cherished granddaughters Julieta and Jacqueline, and their family pet Luna. He is also survived by his siblings, Maria G. (Billy (+)), Juan Pablo (Lydia), Maximo, Rosendo (Rosalba), Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM; recitation of the holy rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation will continue will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026,from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM followed by a chapel service at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
