Luis Madrid Rivas, age 69, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Brackettville, Texas. He was born on April 17, 1955, in El Oregano, Coahuila, Mexico to Luis Rivas, Sr. and Guadalupe Madrid. He was preceded in death by his Father; Luis Rivas, Sr., and Brother-in-law; Jose Luis Serrano.

Luis is survived by his wife; Margarita Rivas, daughter; Marlinda Rivas (Raul Nombrano Jr.), sons; Luis Armando Rivas, Jaime Rivas (Devin), Omar Rivas (Marina), Three sisters; Maria Esperanza Rivas Consuelo Serrano (Jose Luis Serrano+), and Juanita Serrano (Pedro Serrano), and Brother; Armando Rivas (Margarita), and 11 Grandchildren.

The visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM at Brackettville Sunset Funeral Home.

The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 9:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.

Gentlemen with the honor of pallbearers are Rumaldo Serrano, Luis A. Rivas, Jaime Rivas, Omar Rivas, Raul Nombrano Jr., Juan De Leon, and Luis A. Rivas Jr.

The interment will follow at Kinney County Cemetery.
