Louis Baldarramos, Jr., age 77, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on December 11, 2025. He was born on May 29, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Louis Baldarramos and Juanita Salinas Baldarramos.

A proud veteran of the United States Army and National Guard, Louis served his country with honor and discipline. Trained as a sharpshooter, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for his service in Korea, and recognition with USARPAC. His military years reflected the lessons of hard work and perseverance that he had embraced since his youth, values that remained with him throughout his life.

At the heart of Louis's life was his family. He loved his children deeply and carried that love with quiet strength and certainty. As the only brother among seven sisters, he shared a lifelong devotion to his mother, Juanita "Mommy Janie" Salinas Baldarramos, who survives him. His bond with his family was steady, rooted in respect, love, and closeness that never wavered.

Louis spent twenty-five years with his beloved wife, Inez K. Baldarramos, building a life defined by companionship, loyalty, and everyday devotion. Their marriage was shaped not by grand gestures, but by shared mornings, long conversations, and a quiet life, built side by side. He cared for Inez's children with steadiness and affection, becoming a constant presence in their lives. Known for his humor, sharp wit, and ability to fill a room with laughter, Louis leaves behind memories of connection and joy, remembered most for the way he showed love simply by being present.

He is survived by his mother, Juanita Salinas Baldarramos ("Mommy Janie"); his wife, Inez K. Baldarramos; his children, JoAnn Baldarramos Garcia, Louis Baldarramos III, Tony Louis Baldarramos, and Carlos Louis Baldarramos; and those held close in heart, Antonio "Tony (Skinny Son)" Keller, Felipa "Pipa" Amador, Amanda "Gorda" Amador, Israel "Fat Son" Amador Jr., and Maria Amador. He is also survived by his seven sisters, twenty-seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Louis is preceded in death by his father, Louis Baldarramos; his daughter, Mary Jane Baldarramos; his grandfather, Wello Pancho Salinas; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Villasana and Aaron Michael Villasana; his son-in-law, Sergio Garcia; and his mother-in-law, Carmel O. Gonzales.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 415 S. Bus 35, New Braunfels, Texas. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 11:15 AM, also at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will take place at 1:15 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas.

Louis's son, Louis Baldarramos III, will lead his father to his final resting place. Pallbearers include Xavier Arrisola, Epifanio Arrisola, David Sanchez, Brandon Silva, Gilbert Herrera, Michael Martinez, Daniel Piñeda, and Joseph Henry Muñoz, Sr., with Gabriella R. Amador following in respect and love.

Louis's life was deeply shaped by service, camaraderie, and loyalty. His family wishes to honor his longtime friends, fellow veterans, and brothers of service from VFW Post 7110, who will stand in tribute to his lifelong commitment to community and country. In Louis's spirit: "You know who you are… and if you didn't get a nickname, you probably never stood still long enough. That was Louis."

Following the interment, family and friends are warmly invited to gather in Louis's honor for food, fellowship, and remembrance at VFW Post 7110, 600 Peace Avenue, New Braunfels, Texas. All who knew and loved Louis are welcome to join, share stories, and celebrate a life well lived.
