Lori Marie Martinez was called home to be with our Lord on October 22, 2024. She passed peacefully at home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on January 25, 1979 to Emma Hill and Joe Frank Martinez in Del Rio, TX.
Lori is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Leonel and Viola Martinez, her maternal grandfather Johnny B. Martinez and her grandparents T.L. and Blanche Hill.
Lori graduated from Del Rio High School in 1997 and was employed by the S.F.D.R.C.I.S.D. C&I Department for the past 5 years.
Lori's loves of her life were her nieces (her girlies) and nephews (her bad boys) whom she adored and would do anything for. She enjoyed and attended most of all their sporting events, dance recitals, stock shows etc. and vigorously cheered them on.
She is survived by her parents Emma & Terry Hill, Joe Frank and Heather Martinez, her brothers & sisters-in-laws Joe Frank and Jackie Martinez and their children Jace and Jordan; John Leo and Analisa Martinez and their children Jenna-Claire, Julianne and Justine; Trevor and Cristy Hill and their children Ricky, Tyler and Trevor; sisters Courtlyn Martinez and Natalie Hill, Grandmother Guadalupe C. Martinez, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and life long
friends.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; recitation of the holy rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
The mass of christian burial will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Gentlemen with the honor of Pallbearers are: Raul "Tito" Martinez, Gerald Martinez, Joe Frank Martinez, Waylon Martinez, John Leo Martinez, Tyler Hill and Jordan Davis; Honorary Pallbearers Moody Nieto and Meli Navarro
The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
