Lester Eugene Carroll, born on April 7, 1947 in San Antonio, TX, passed peacefully at his home in Spring Branch on January 31, 2026. Born to George and Jean Carroll. He is preceeded in death by his wife Suzanne Carroll, daughter Jade Carroll, and brother Marvin Carroll. Nicknamed "Jack", he bravely served in Vietnam as a Navy Seabee, and was a skilled mason contractor. From the age of 3, he was a little inventor always tinkering and building something. Jack was an enthusiastic treasurer hunter, and avid meteorite hunter. He was a dedicated animal lover, and especially cherished his dogs.
He had a great passion for starwatching, intensely searching for the mysteries of the cosmos, and eventually authored a memoir with his wife about their extraterrestrial encounters in the desert of Nevada. He will be remembered for his spirited humor and zest for adventure throughout his life.
Most of all, Jack was a devoted and beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother and friend. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. As he always used to say, "keep your eyes to the skies!"
